High Housing Need, Low Accessibility for UVA Children's Hospital patients

ver the past two years, over 100,000 families have entered UVa’s Children Hospital for treatment. From central Virginia alone, 88% of those traveling for treatment lived far enough away to qualify for housing with us.

The need for UVA pediatric family housing is HIGH and accessible options are limited.

Housing should not be the reason why a parent or guardian is unable to stay with their sick child as they get the help they need.

Navigating medical care for a child is stressful under any circumstance. At LilyPads Housing, we seek to remove the burden of finding and affording lodging for those families.

You’re invited to join our mission! There are many ways to volunteer with us–tabling, bring a family a meal, fundraising–or sign-up to host a family! Don’t have the time or space to volunteer, but still want to support us? Donate so that we can grow our network and support even more of the many families that must travel for medical care!

Community care matters!
